In 2020, as the COVID-19 pandemic was roaring through our world, Catherine Fox was roaring for music. As Guitars, Ukuleles, and Mandolins (GUM) became commonplace at socially distant outdoor gatherings at Catherine's house, the string fever spread quickly and GUM strummers was born.

One of the many things that make the GUM Strummers special is that they are composed of a talented crew, with many members being accomplished multi-instrumentalist musicians.
